In January 2020, a pre-pilot for the NEST program, or Nourishing Employee Strengths and Talents, began, assisting and nourishing entry-level employees with support and career/life coaching.
The pre-pilot includes six individuals who will work through the operationalization of the program. Program efforts involve partnering with community organizations like La soupe, Cinci works and YMCA to address and improve the lives of entry-level employees.
There will be three phases to the program: Healthier eating, addressing emergent needs and helping achieve dreams.
The program will focus on improving the lives of entry-level employees, and focus not only on skills training and career advancement but also their work commute, childcare issues and meal preparation/food insecurity at home. The goal is to create a model that could be replicated by other organizations.
